Moving Forward
With a lifelong passion for studying and teaching God's Word, I share my personal story and biblical insights through speaking at conferences, churches, retreats, and small groups. Combining my love for storytelling and copywriting, I’ve also written Bible studies on the Five Women in Jesus’ genealogy, beginning with Bathsheba. Together, Ron and I are excited to minister to the 4,500 residents of Gabriola Island and invite others to join us in sharing the gospel here.

Our History
From our shared year in Bible School at Kawartha Lakes circa 1977 in Peterborough, Ontario when we were 19 years of age, Ron and I have always had a heart for missions. Back then, Ron was a drummer in a Christian Band called New Life Singers and I worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators as a Graphic Artist, Printer and Copywriter. Using our God given gifts in music, creative art and communication to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus, our vision and mission then was not a typical one and that mindset has continued with our call to Gabriola Island, a place known for its Creative Arts.

Our Story
We've been married since 2015 and Ron still uses his gift of music to connect with the community. He continues to drum but has added his training as a Sound Engineer to his repertoire. In addition, he has honed his gift as a Bible teacher and mentor. I too have kept my creativity alive but in a different way. Because of a lifelong injury sustained in an auto accident that left me a young widow in my 20's, with two very young children, as well as other challenges, I knew God wanted to use what I'd been through to minister to others. For that reason, I earned my MA Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC. In addition to my BA in Christian Education from Tyndale University in Toronto, ON, my role as a Chaplain allows me to be anywhere and everywhere people are hurting.
